My Dino Life Five Biomes, One Hunt
Orbs spawn everywhere. Safety does not.
The official My Dino Life description lists five biomes: Forest, Desert, Snow, Wetlands, and Aquatic. There is no public minimap download and no Trello with pin coordinates. This page is a routing guide: where orbs are, who can reach you, and when to leave.
Use it with the species guide and the evolution planner. A Mosasaurus in Desert is a headline. A Microraptor in Aquatic is a plan.
Forest
The default classroom. The first orb quest usually happens here. Cover exists, and so do campers who understand that new players walk toward the nearest glow. Collect on the edge. Evolve behind a trunk. Do not AFK on the spawn cluster.
Forest is also where 2x Kill banners feel worst, because everyone already knows the trails. If the canopy is loud, leave for Wetlands or water. The events page explains why you should treat the banner as a weather alert.
Desert
Open sightlines, weak hiding, strong for a land apex that already bought Speed. Terrible for a first session. You will see hunters sooner, which is only good if you are the hunter. Farm NPCs on the rim, not in the bowl.
Bring a T. rex or Titanosaurus career here after the dinosaur tier list says you are ready. Bring a Microraptor here only if Forest is somehow worse — rare, but Early Alpha lobbies do that.
Snow
Cold ground, fewer bushes, similar rules to Desert with worse contrast on some mobile screens. Orbs still spawn. Players still flank. If you cannot see white-on-white bodies, raise brightness before you assume the biome is empty.
Snow is a fine land-apex playground and a poor tutorial. Save it until Speed exists.
Wetlands
The hinge. Mud, reeds, and a short walk to Aquatic. Use it to change careers: land to water when Forest is a graveyard, water to land when you want T. rex and the lake is full of Mosasaurus mains. Do not live here unless you enjoy being flanked from two elements at once.
NPC farms can be good on the banks. PvP is messy. The survival guide is written with this crossing in mind.
Aquatic
Water. The recorded how-to session hid here after land deaths, then farmed aquatic NPCs once Speed showed up. This is the public-server sanity biome, not a no-PvP zone. Other swimmers exist. Land hunters exist on the banks. Surface with a plan.
Mosasaurus belongs here. Mid water morphs belong here. Titanosaurus does not. If you came to Aquatic to “be safe” and then beached for every orb, you rebuilt Forest with extra steps.
Routing rules
- Start Forest edge, not Forest center.
- If a 2x Kill banner is up and you are small, change biome or server.
- Commit land (Desert / Snow) or water (Aquatic) after the first two evolves.
- Use Wetlands as a hallway.
- Redeem codes in cover, not on a ridge.
- After a wipe, do not return to the biome that just killed you until Speed is back.
There is no downloadable map image beyond the official Roblox thumbnail we host locally. Until Primal Park ships pins, your map is this list plus the camera. The guides hub will link here whenever a how-to needs a place, not a vibe.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Early Alpha sessions.
How many biomes does My Dino Life have?
Five: Forest, Desert, Snow, Wetlands, and Aquatic.
Which biome is best for beginners?
Forest edges or Aquatic. Avoid Desert and Snow until you have Speed and a mid-morph.
Is there an official map image?
No public Trello or minimap file. Use this routing guide and the in-game camera.
Can land dinosaurs enter Aquatic?
They can approach the water. Most will not commit. Do not beach if you are the one they can reach.
